Being lovers of Aram Bartholl's work for years now, Stiftung Konzeptuelle Kunst, Soest, dedicates a solo show at the local museum to his artistic work.
The Dead Drop got installed together with visitors of the show.
Soest is a very old city which was most important in the middle ages. It's full of old houses, churches and walls around almost every house and garden, up to 3 meters high. Everything is built of a green sandstone which is won near here. This colourfulness attracted expressionistic painters, of which Soest itself bore a very interesting one, Wilhelm Morgner.
I always found the numerous walls to be predestinated for hiding small messages and things and even defined some of those spots together with my first boyfriend when I was a teenager.
The Dead Drop is located in the very center of Soest, close to the local art museum, Museum Wilhelm Morgner with RAUM SCHROTH, and between Patrokli-Dom and Nikolai-Kapelle. It already survived heavy rain and waits for you to be used! |
