Hi there,
I am a french reporter for a blog calling UrbaNews.fr (http://www.urbanews.fr/).
At the end of my Erasmus Exchange in Oxford Brookes University, with some friends, we really wanted to let a part of our several experiences studying here in Oxford, UK.
So, we started to think about how could we do that without using the current cyber social-network and let physically a part of us whithin the city itself ?
The dead drop was the best idea !!
The dead drop is located just under the Bridge of Sighs (Hertford Bridge), in New College Lane, between a blue guidepost and a black pipe.
The Bridge of Sighs is one of the most popular place visited in Oxford. We choose this particular place to enhance the idea of a new image of Oxford. How could be such a city mixing the heritage building with the digital culture ?
The dead drop include all those elements :
Oxford's memories of some Erasmus Students such as music, pictures and exclusive videos ;
What's on in Oxford by day and by night, with a list of the different pubs, night clubs, etceteras ;
Information about our blog : UrbaNews.fr ;
and many others "crazy little things".
The dead drop in itself participate to the idea of mixing the past heritage and the current and future digital culture of the city.
Be part of the experience and go check the treasures contained in this dead drop !
