La prison Jacques Cartier construite entre 1898 et 1903 a fermé ses portes en mars 2010. Les prisonniers ont été transférés à Vézin-Le-Coquet. Cette prison est un édifice très important pour le patrimoine carcéral et l’histoire de la détention en France. Faite de schiste pourpre de Pont-Réan, qui la pierre emblématique de la construction rennaise, elle est d’autant plus un symbole pour la ville.
La Dead Drop se situe à gauche de l’entrée principale de la prison à environ 8 mètres, près d’un portail blanc.
Jacques Cartier’s prison built between 1898 and 1903 closed its doors in March 2010. Prisoners were transferred to Vezin-The-Coquet. This prison is a very important building for prison heritage and history of detention in France. Made with red slate from Pont-Rean, which the iconic stone construction of Rennes, it is a symbol for the city.
The Dead Drop is located to the left of the main entrance of the prison at about 8 meters, near to a white gate. |
